Fog of World collects location data to record your tracks even when the app is closed or not in use. The data only stays in the device unless you sync them with your cloud storage accounts for backup. But only you have access to them, we don’t.
Fog of World only requires access to your location data. None of any other personal and sensitive user data is accessed, used and collected. And none of your data will be shared.
Fog of World collects your location data to enable recording your tracks even when the app is closed or not in use (when the recording mode is turned on). However, the collected locations stay in your device. We don’t have any server to collect any of your data, and your data won’t be shared. You may sync your tracks (recorded location data) to your cloud storage accounts (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc) for backup or migration purposes, but that’s totally under your control.
For Dropbox, OneDrive, Nutstore, and iCloud. Fog of World requires the “App Folder” permission, which means your data will be put in a sandbox and Fog of Wolrd only has access to that folder.
However, since Google Drive’s “App Folder” permission doesn’t allow users to access the “App Folder” directly. Fog of World requires Full Google Drive access so users can upload their GPX or KML files and import them to Fog of World later. Your Fog of World data will be stored in Google Drive’s “/Fog of World” folder and Fog of World only reads and writes that folder. None of other folders will be touched by Fog of World.
Here are the more detailed policies of Google Drive usage. (The same rules apply to other cloud storage as well except that your data is stored in the sandbox App Folder)
